The Raditech Automated Calibration Suite

Our facility utilizes a custom-designed, computer-controlled calibration unit that ensures your instrument is positioned within the radiation field to an accuracy of 0.1mm. By leveraging advanced engineering, we provide a calibration environment that is as safe as it is precise:

  • Pneumatic Field Control: The radiation source is deployed via a pneumatic system within a fully interlocked housing. This ensures ALARP compliance and the highest level of safety for our engineers.

  • Bespoke Instrument Housing: Rather than using “universal” mounts, we utilize custom-machined housings for each specific instrument model, guaranteeing perfectly repeatable placement within the field.

  • Optical Verification: We utilize high-resolution cameras mounted at fixed, calculated coordinates to record and analyze meter readings. This eliminates parallax error and provides a verifiable digital audit of the instrument’s performance.

  • Real-Time Accuracy: To account for source decay and environmental variables, the magnitude of our radiation field is calculated and verified daily.
